The MACBETH project revolves around two complementary pilot demonstrations aimed at evaluating and validating MCS charging hubs. Each pilot has a distinct focus, allowing for the testing of different solutions. A key innovation of the project is optimising the utilisation of behind-the-meter power system (charger) investments while managing grid connection costs and preventing congestion. These challenges will be addressed through innovative, user-centric solutions and services.
Plugit’s pilot focuses on developing a multi-vehicle charging hub in Sweden to create a commercially viable and scalable solution for both trucks and passenger cars.
Milence is focusing on the development of a high-power, HDV-only charging hub in the Netherlands as part of the MACBETH project.
